Well, I've played all the classes, and I will say that I like all of them. They of course are all designed for different situations, based on their skills. So depending on what you are doing, for instance, assassins participating in TW, it's more difficult than an assassin dueling or fighting someone 1 vs 1.
Of course, there is still the unavoidable fact that some classes have more usefulness than others overall. Meaning that you can get more out of certain classes than others, simply due to impractical or dare I even say, useless skills available to a class. There are some skills that have little use or may only be relative to a handful or even 1 situation, but then there are also skills that are just pointless for any situation.
Of course, broken, glitched, useless or impractical skills are all just something that will be adjusted over time when things come around to it. The classes are relatively balanced at the moment. It's not perfect, but I guess that isn't exactly common in MMOs.
Best thing to do is find your playing style. Try some duels with each class, see what seems to work better for you when messing with skill sets. Talk in game and get some tips and techniques to use for that class to help enjoy the way you play.
